Before of my Kitchen

I forgot to get a before picture of the kitchen. Our house was built in the suburbs in 1999. Kitchen is a great layout. But needs an updo.

Action Plan for the Kitchen

List so far for Kitchen:

• Take down wallpaper and paint Restoration Hardware Silver Sage. (Benjamin Moore Grey Wisp is what I used. Better Paint)
• Paint cabinets white. See if I still like the existing handles
• Put LED lights under cabinets
• Add molding to island to make it look like furniture
• Counters to granite
• Paint chairs accent colors
• See if I need to paint the light fixture and hanging pot holder
• Take out one or 2 cabinet doors and leave for display
• Fill with accent colors: turquoise, coral, silver,

Tile Floor Grout Redo

Starting this spring, I am on a journey to fix up the house. My first project was to clean my grout. I tried everything. Finally, I found information on painting the grout. Brilliant. Easy. Time consuming.... I have an area of tile that is my front entry way, my kitchen, breakfast area, back door way, guest bathroom and hallway to the garage.

I tested the color in the guest bath. I have a white-ish tile with other coloring. At first I picked Antique White. But once I cleaned my tile and painted the grout, it looked too cream.

So, Snow White is what I choose.

First, I cleaned and de-glazed the grout. I let that dry. I am working small areas at a time, so my family can still live around it.

Second, with a sponge brush (I did not like the tooth brush), a small squeeze bottle with a small tip, and a slightly damp sponge to clean, I set off to paint. It took two coats. My grout was originally grey. It had turned black.

New Obsession?

Ok, I love to scrapbook. Go over a friends house. Drink wine. Chat. Scrap.
But I want it faster so I can chat and drink more.
I just got a program, Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus. Like a easier version of Photoshop. You can import all the .png files in. Plus, they have tons of CM products to set you on your way. I don't sell it, but think it is a great little program.

I printed at www.viovio.com some 12x12 loose pages. You have to have at least 12 before they will let you order them loose. Had to figure that out the hard way. Shipping of 12 pages still puts it a little cheaper than www.scrappingsimply.com. But I want to try them when I have more layouts to upload.

Bleached Peace Sign Tshirt

I saw this shirt at a fancy department store. Totally cool. Price totally insane.
So, I am handy. I made my own. Now I want to try other forms of tshirt design...

Piper's birthday oufit

Piper did not want a skirt or dress for her Pump it up party. She did want to pick out fabric, though.

American girl match with bling

This is a gift for my niece who just got her first doll over spring break. We have store here in town that has all sorts of bling. Chez ami fabric, bling, otto ladies tank pattern 02/07, and self drafted skirt. Oh, and Joann Hinds for American girl top. I self drafted the skirt.


DD modeling. It is a bit big for her. HOpefully it will fit my niece.

This is a surprise for my niece for her birthday/1st communion.
I hope it fits. I hate not being able to measure in person.
Doll is mine, of course. You have to have your own American girl doll if you want to sew for them.

Piper's suit

I did not get a model pic. I will try to get one tomorrow. I also made her a skirt. She wanted the tankini and boy pant from kwik sew. way, cute. Chez ami fabric.
