Project Runway for dolls

This challenge was to make something from a repurposed item and a non clothing item.
I chose a skirt that no longer fit and some washers from Patton's tools. It is meant to be a shift dress ala "Real Housewives of the OC" but I did not have the bling or the shoes. But Samantha has definitely got the attitude.

Auction outfit for Girl and Doll

This is the auction outfit I am making for Zoe's School and for our church.
The doll will have their initial of choice as will the girl's shirt.
The top for the girl will be a ready to wear tshirt with an applique initial on it.
The skirt can be made from size 2t up to 12. Waist and length of girl measurements will be obtained from the winner. Allow 2 weeks for outfits to be completed. Doll no included. All seams professional finished.

This dress was inspired by the Chasing Fireflies bustle dress. I alterd an Oliva pattern. Fabric is Flap happy from Fabric Fairy. There is a match for the American girl doll, but the 2 AG dolls are dressed in pjs for a slumber party

I finally finished one for Piper. And I did flowers on the tshirt because they had chocolate stains. And I just realized this at 145 in the morning the night before school pics. She loves to twirl

You can get this pattern on www. youcanmakethis.com. Very cute. I think it is better as a top than a dress. But all Zoe wants is dresses. Ikea fabric. I did some applique on the front to break up the length. Man is she tall. I can't believe she is in 1st grade. Oh, and now that she can read, I have to be careful. We were at the doctor's and she was reading a "Peoples" magazine because she saw the Jonas brothers. but the mag was so not appropriate for her age!

all she wants is dresses. This was a Hannah Montana Pattern. The smallest size was 8, so I had to size it down. I think it still needs a shirt under it. I got this lycra fabric at Hobby lobby of all places for $3. I have enough to make myself a cute top and a doll dress. Got to get to work :)

Zoe no loves to get the catalogs and ask mommy to make the cloths. I think she knows that her doll gets a dress too. This one does not have a doll dress yet.

Birthday Present for friend, American girl outfit and matching for Girl

I made this for Zoe's friend who turned 6. She has an American girl and I thought this would be a cute gift since Zoe loves to dress like her doll too.

I have to say this was pretty easy once I figure out my ratio on my ruffler. I can ruffle and sew at the same time. You have to check out the free tutorial at www.youcanmakethis.com Wonderful site. But if you are a person who likes to sew or craft, it might be addictive.
I plan on bedazzling a tank top too.
I have more fabric. Now my kids are fighting over who gets the next one.
